How to Use the Curlmate
Curlmate User Guide
The Curlmate is a professional ceramic hair straightener with negative ion technology, designed to create beautiful curls and waves with less damage than conventional stylers. Follow these steps to get the best results.
What you'll need
- Your Curlmate (plugged in)
- Clean, completely dry hair
- Heat protectant spray
- Brush or comb to detangle
Step by step
1. Turn on and select your temperature
Plug in the Curlmate and select your temperature using the adjustment buttons. Wait for the indicator to confirm it has reached the desired heat. Heat-up is fast — just a matter of seconds.
2. Prepare your hair
Apply heat protectant from roots to ends and divide your hair into sections of about 2–3 cm. Start from the nape of the neck and work upwards toward the crown.
3. To create curls or waves
Place a section between the plates near the roots. Rotate the styler over itself while gliding smoothly toward the ends in one continuous motion. The 360° swivel cord gives you complete freedom of movement without tangles.
4. To straighten
Glide the styler from roots to ends in one smooth, continuous motion without pausing at any point, to avoid heat marks.
5. Set the style
Let the hair cool before touching the curls. Apply a small amount of hair oil or hairspray to lock in the style and add long-lasting shine.
Temperature guide
| Hair type | Recommended temperature |

Maintenance tips
- Clean the plates with a soft cloth when completely cool
- Do not submerge the Curlmate in water or use it near water sources
- Coil the cord loosely without sharp bends to extend its lifespan
- Auto shut-off activates after 60 minutes of inactivity — this is a safety feature
